The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service released a bid for a project to develop an online training system for field personnel. The goal was to teach users how to accurately identify migratory waterfowl and provide reliable counts from studying high-definition video clips. I developed a proof-of-concept platform using Instructure Canvas, as well as a Plan B solution using Moodle. Both would allow users to progress from novice through intermediate to expert level, and allow administrators to manage the banks of tests and monitor user outcomes.
Alas, the bid was cancelled for lack of funds. In the words of Huck Finn’s no-account father, “Call this a guvmint…!”
Also built a practice test engine for Security+ training. Canvas is awesome. I can build it for you in Moodle, too.
